PAM 23 : engineers-inventors
🎉It's coming!!! The latest issue of PAM has gone to press, and will be distributed to our members' mailboxes around November 20. Don't forget to check your mailboxes!
⌛We'll tell you more to make your mouth water... starting with a riddle...
🧐What do the YOYO stroller, the "sea dog", pre-stressed concrete or David Niven's inflatable chair in "The Brain" have in common?
They are all inventions by engineers trained at the Ecole des Ponts.
In this 23rd issue of Ponts Alumni Magazine, we have chosen to shine the spotlight on a few Ponts-educated inventors, whether they have remained in a classic Ponts field (Freyssinet, Vicat, etc.), gone on to explore other spheres sometimes far removed a priori from their training (designers), whether they are great alumni or contemporaries, and illustrate a general intuition: Les Ponts engineers can revolutionize the world, thanks to their calculating power and ability to stand back, observe the world, transpose and project.
