XMP-Consult : The contributions of the new wave of electrification
Organised by "XMP Consult"
Electricity at the heart of our low-carbon future
In the face of climate change, electrification, initiated in 1881 by Edison, is becoming increasingly essential in all sectors of activity and in all countries - bearing in mind that, unfortunately, around a billion human beings have no real access to it. This electrification, which must be low-carbon, can also help reduce other global problems, such as the availability of drinking water.
Many technologies are already deployable and economically accessible, but not necessarily deployed for political, economic, industrial, cultural or organizational reasons. The necessary mutation already underway, coupled with that of digital technology, will transform most professions and create an immense need for education and training. It also requires political, industrial and academic leaders to adopt global approaches, which means that there is considerable scope for consultants in all fields to contribute to these approaches.
