" What are the challenges of Europe-Africa cooperation for a successful ecological transition? "

The challenges of international cooperation, ways of financing the ecological transition, and the contribution of engineers to the major challenges of sustainable development in Africa are just some of the topics that will be addressed by our comrade Antoine Malafosse during the discussion with the audience.

We hope to see many of you, students, alumni and researchers, interested in the subject of development aid and project financing in Africa.

The conference will take place at the Maison des Ponts from 6:30pm and will be followed by a cocktail reception.

It will nevertheless be possible to join in by video. A link will be sent to registrants the day before the event.

A Ponts et Chaussées engineer who graduated in 1985, Antoine Malafosse has been involved for over 25 years in numerous water and energy access projects, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, working for a variety of organizations (NGOs, engineering firms, companies) with a focus on cooperation and consultation.

Backed by this solid experience in the field, he is now a regular speaker at higher education establishments, on topics relating to global governance and the resilience of developing countries.

His latest book"L'Afrique au fil de l'eau : rencontres singulières et solidaires" will be published in November 2023 by Editions L'Harmattan.
