What jobs and careers are there for engineers in the non-profit sector?

Some of our alumni have held, or still hold, positions in sectors that are a priori atypical or unexpected compared to the classic Ponts curriculum.

Yet these jobs are essential to the smooth running of all activities in the not-for-profit sector: humanitarian, development, charitable, etc. in whatever form: institutions, NGOs, associations, etc.

What are these jobs? Who are the engineers working in them? How did they get into these positions? What is their background? What are their current responsibilities? What skills do they need? What are their motivations and working conditions? What are the particularities of this type of job compared to a "classic" job? What advice would they give to a student or alumni wishing to go down this path?

These are just some of the topics we'd like to address at this round table organized in Champs-sur-Marne with the Dévelop'ponts student association, and which will bring together several alumni, in person and by videoconference, working in a variety of organizations and sectors, in the humanitarian field in the broadest sense.
