Conference by Henri Jannet: "Entrepreneurs and Business Angels: what kind of relationship?

In the development of a start-up, there often comes a time when the young company needs funds, and the resources that the founders can mobilize without constraints (family and friends) are exhausted. It's at this point that the start-up will seek external funding from investors, particularly business angels.

How can we reconcile the apparent contradictions between the aspirations of each?

- For the entrepreneur, it's essential to retain a majority stake in the company, obtain a large share of the added value created, and maintain the autonomy needed to manage the project.

- For the investor, a reasonable return on the risk taken and the right to control the use of his or her money are essential.

The development of a relationship of trust between the project owner and the business angel is essential to the success of their cooperation. It's important to understand what a Business Angel can contribute (and what he can't).

Being a Business Angel is an exciting "profession", and we'll be taking a look at its 5 components.

This conference is aimed at entrepreneurs and potential business angels.

Speaker:

Henri Jannet, X-Ponts (70), Former President of the Business Angels des Grandes Écoles (Badge), Leader of Ponts Business Angels, Business Angel for 10 years and former company director.
