Energy-climate outlook for France: presentation of the negaWatt scenario

France has set itself ambitious targets for the development of renewable energies and the reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by 2020, 2030 and 2050.

A number of institutional, private and associative players regularly produce scenarios to fuel the debate on the public policies needed to meet or exceed these targets.

At a time when the government is revising its multiannual energy program (PPE), which will set out the government's energy policy guidelines for 2023 and 2028, Thierry Salomon, spokesman for the négaWatt, will present the négaWatt scenario, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, with an energy mix based exclusively on renewable energies.

Thierry Salomon's presentation will be followed by a question and answer session, which can be extended around the buffet.

Thierry Salomon is vice-president and spokesman for the Association négaWatt.

Founder and former director of a technical association involved in the use of renewable energies and energy management, he is currently head of development for an energy optimization consultancy. He is also the author of several books on energy.
