Marie-France Clugnet exhibition on women engineers: coming soon to the Cité des Sciences
Just over a year ago, during the Nuit des Ponts event, the Foundation invited its donors to take part in the "Marie-France Clugnet" photo exhibition project. The aim of the exhibition, which would ideally be touring, was to present a series of some twenty portraits of women engineers who had graduated from the Ponts to a wide range of audiences, mainly middle and high school students.Les Ponts graduates, with the hope and aim of encouraging young girls to join engineering schools, by discovering the diverse and exhilarating careers to which these schools can lead.
Some of you may have seen the first photos we presented at the Soirée des Ponts last May. Thanks to the support of our donors, 21 portraits have now been produced. Each photo portrait, taken in a symbolic location, is accompanied by :
- texts based on interviews conducted by a journalist, illustrating each woman's career path in language adapted to her target audience,
- and a few seconds of audio.
This project won over the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, which decided to present the exhibition on two occasions:
- November 25 to 29, in the Cité des Métiers access corridor, for Industry Week.
- From February 8 to 11 in the lobby of the Cité des Sciences, to mark International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
👉 Don't miss the chance to discover this exhibition and invite your acquaintances to visit!
The Fondation des Ponts recently sent out an appeal for donations to finalize this project: we can only relay this appeal, as the exhibition is truly superb...
