Muscat is made up of around 200 grape varieties in 3 colors, all of which share a distinctive musk-like aroma.
These grape varieties, vinified in whites ranging from the driest to the sweetest, and even in VDNs, were once the stars of oenology. Nowadays, they're increasingly used in aromatic summer whites, but they're still relatively unknown.
We'll be taking a tour of southern European countries to compare these different varietals with more modern and sometimes unexpected vinifications.
