GEF Breakfast with Jacques TOUBON, Human Rights Defender

Organised by "Sciences ParisTech au Féminin"

Jacques TOUBON politician, jurist, MP, minister, Garde des Sceaux, has headed the Défenseur des Droits, an independent constitutional authority, since July 2014.

Created in 2011 from the merger of several institutions including the Médiateur de la République, and the Haute Autorité de Lutte contre les Discriminations et pour l'Égalité (HALDE), this authority has two missions:

- to defend people whose rights are not respected,
- to ensure equal access to rights for all.

Jacques TOUBON will discuss with us the issues he defends: the fight against discrimination, including discrimination in access to employment and careers, and pay inequalities between men and women.

Our Breakfasts are open to anyone interested in gender issues, whatever their school, university or studies. Our events are also open to men, who need to be involved.

A breakfast buffet will be open from 8am. Discussions will start at 8.30 a.m. sharp and finish at 10 a.m. We look forward to welcoming many of you.

Correct dress is required to enter the Cercle: a tie for men and no jeans for either men or women.

Registration is compulsory and can only be made by online payment via the following link (if you require a receipt, please tick the appropriate box):
