Visit of the "HOSTA " project
The " HOSTA " project is the result of the "Inventons la Métropole du Grand Paris" competition, won by Woodeum in October 2017. It has a number of special features:
- Theproject is located on a complex site, above the Bd périphérique at Porte Brancion between Paris and Vanves, a strategic traffic location.
- The Hosta project does not result in any artificialisation of the land , as it is integrated into an existing environment.
- Wood & low-carbon construction, compatible with RE2020 requirements at threshold 2028
- An enormous technical challenge: Woodeum'stimber construction method enabled us to divide the building's weight by 2 , making it possible to build 8 storeys (including a shared terrace) instead of 4 in traditional construction, in order to comply with the permissible load of the structure overhanging the ring road.
It will house a 114-room young workers' hostel and 2 shops at the foot of the building, for a total of 4,220 m² sdp.
