Behind-the-scenes tour of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport
Organised by "AviaPonts"
Take a behind-the-scenes look at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, including terminal facilities (Terminal 2), emergency services (fire station) and airside.
Located 25 kilometers north of Paris, Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport is spread over 3,257 hectares, more than half the size of Roissy. It handles the majority of the airport system's long-haul and intercontinental services, with the exception of those to the French overseas territories and the Caribbean (which are operated from Orly). It features two double runways capable of handling 114 take-offs and landings per hour, three passenger terminals, 300 hectares dedicated to freight, 75 km of taxiways, 200 hectares of aircraft parking areas, and a TGV train station for connecting trains and aircraft.
