Rencontres Nationales de l'Ingénierie Territoriale in Montpellier-CORUM

Organised by "Languedoc-Roussillon"

Territorial transition

The Rencontres nationales de l'ingénierie territoriale (RNIT) will take place on May 15 and 16, 2018 in Montpellier at the Corum. A major event for technical and public engineering, over 800 participants are expected.
The 2018 edition will be dedicated to the transitions at work in territories: democratic, digital, ecological and digital transitions. It will bring together the views and experiences of experts, practitioners and researchers.
Pierre Rabhi, French essayist, farmer, novelist, ecologist and poet, founder of the Colibris movement, will introduce these meetings and talk about his experiences of transitions, from acting locally to thinking globally. These issues will be addressed in plenary sessions and workshops, with contributions from real-world experience in technical services and planning.
Technical visits will also be offered to participants, including one on BIM on the afternoon of May 16. These will enable them to take a different look at the City and Metropolis of Montpellier, hosts of this event and a territory of transitions, from urban agriculture to positive energy territories, a benchmark territory in terms of health and French Tech.

A WORKSHOP on May 16 afternoon will focus on digital building modeling, with Mr. André Ariotti, who designed the Saint Nazaire aquatic center: BIM takes the plunge.

Coste architecture

Born in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, in 1973, André Ariotti graduated from the Languedoc-Roussillon School of Architecture in 1999. Attracted to architectural competitions at an early age, he took part in various student competitions during his studies. His fourth-year internship took him to Morocco for several months, where he worked for one of the world's leading architectural firms in Rabat. On his return to France, he joined Coste Architectures a few years ago, first as an employee, then as an associate. As project manager within the agency, he manages all stages of projects, from the sketch/competition phase through to delivery. He works with both private and public clients. Thanks to his skills in computer graphics applied to architecture, and specializing in sports facilities and housing, he works on a variety of programs ranging from collective housing to larger projects such as nautical centers, gymnasiums, velodromes, schools... won through competitions or private commissions.
