Groupe Régional Ouest - Visit to the Saint-Nazair bridge reinforcement worksite
The WEST regional group invites you to get together

on site, according to the enclosed map
for a visit to the St Nazaire bridge repair site.
The visit will take all morning.
This bridge over the Loire, commissioned in 1975, is 3356 m long.
It comprises two access viaducts, 1115 m to the north and 1521 m to the south, and a central span of 404 m over the 720 m cable-stayed section.
The project, complex due to the configuration of the highly exposed site and the need to maintain it in operation, involves reinforcement using additional prestressing and composite materials.
The project is highly spectacular, with the work being carried out from autonomous barges that hook onto the structure with the support of the tides.
